Harlow Autumn Tournament

September 30th – October 13th

We are organising our end of season week long Harlow Tennis Championship 2024. The event will be held from September 30th until October 13th. matches played in the evenings and finals day held on Sunday, Oct, 13th from 10am (followed by snacks and drinks). This is a fun and all inclusive tournament for all to come along and have a go.

Entry is open to all adults and any of the Juniors who have joined club night this season.

Please note. ALL MATCHES will be timetabled on a given evening and time slot. Please make sure you are free to play your match during this week before you enter so the tournament can run smoothly .

This year’s Harlow Championship will have be a main tournament with the following entries.
Mens Singles, Ladies Singles, Mens Doubles Ladies Doubles and Mixed( Please note you will be paired randomly for doubles)

Entry fee £3 per single entry

Tournament Rules

• LTA Tennis rules and scoring applies.
• Matches will be two normal sets with a third set tie-break of 10 points.
• Matches will start at 6.30pm or 8.00pm and will be limited to 1hr 30 minutes.(matches that over run will be scheduled for completion at the next available slot).
• A player will forfeit the match if they are unable play because of Illness/injury/other.
• If a player arrives late, up to 30 minutes, they could forfeit the first set. Later than one hour could result in forfeiting the match. This is at the discretion of the official on duty.
• Matches called off do to adverse weather will be rescheduled at the next available date.
• The final may be moved if weather prohibits play and the schedules can not be maintained.
• Lucky losers from the first round may be asked to partner a different player who does not have a partner due to numbers.

Entries no later than September 18th. (fees will need to be paid before the tournament begins)

Trophies will be awarded on Finals day by our chairman
