The usual format saw players paired up randomly in mixed teams (man/woman) then play four matches, swopping courts and partners after each match.

There was some great tennis and lots of fun rallies. You could tell that everyone was keen to win by the desperate scrambling that was on show!

It was a tight-run thing with only 7 points separating the top six, but in the end the overall winner was Jim Nichols with a whopping 27 points.

Jim was awarded with the prize of a fabulous fruit hamper kindly donated by Regal Fruit and Veg of Otley Road, Harlow Hill.

At the end everyone celebrated with a buffet made up of food that each player brought along – a smorgasbord of cakes, scones, crisps, biscuits and other healthy fare!
